Academy Awards Fun and Games

The Academy Awards will be held on February 25th this year. Here's a fun little Oscar-related game to play with your family or friends. Each person declares which movie title from 2006 most adequately describes their life over the past 12 months. In most years, a little interpretation is required for some of the titles. However, this year's titles offer a fairly good selection for playing this game.
Which of this year's movie titles best defines your previous 12 months?
A) Babel
B) The Departed
C) The Good Shepherd
D) The Illusionist
E) The Pursuit of Happyness
F) Superman Returns
Everyone gets to interpret each title whichever way they want. They just have to explain their interpretation. Have you been The Good Shepherd in your life lately or have you been more like The Illusionist? Was last year's experience a big comeback or a stepping away? (Superman Returns or The Departed?) Was your year a lot of talk or a true pursuit of real meaning?
As Shakespeare suggested, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." It is interesting every year to review how you have directed and starred in your own dramatic and/or comedic existence. In 2007, make your movie a great one.
Babel could well be the anthem of our family this year.We have heard many voices . It was not discordant , instead the voices resonated with warmth, intelligence, sensitivity, caring, fellowship. There were times when the voices became tumultous and there was anger, hurt or sadness .But the voices soon were soothed by reconciliations, wonderful, invigorating reunions, and there was much music, dancing and laughter . We met new people, made nw friends, connected and created a new babel. There was never meaningless "babble" but we certianly made a unique noise!
