Can Astrology Make Dreams Come True?
Posted May 3, 2006 11:00 AM
Hi, my name is Victoria Bazeley. I'm a professional astrologer. I've been studying astrology for close to 40 years now and yet there's always so much more for me to learn. My attitudes toward astrology have changed a lot over the years. When I started I thought astrology would reveal to me my personality and my hidden talents. Then I thought it would reveal my destiny, what I would become in life. When I got a little older and the hormones kicked in, I thought astrology would foretell my love life and reveal my soul mate to me.
Later, I thought my horoscope would tell me when lucky events would happen to me and what those lucky events would be. When I was going through troubled times, I thought astrology would tell me why. When the love of my life died at the young age of 26, I hoped astrology would give me the why of that, too. What could be the purpose of having a young and vibrant life cut down so early?
Astrology was my companion through all the highs and lows of my life. Sometimes it helped; at other times it didn't. It took me decades to reach the space I inhabit now. In the past, I was often disappointed when the magic things I wanted astrology to foretell for me didn't happen. It was the disappointment that spurred me on to try to understand astrology better.
Then, in a series of jolts, in a series of unexpected changes in perspective, I stopped trying to get astrology to foretell magic events for me--and started using it instead. I started listening to the planets and using every transit as an opportunity. I started to make my own dreams come true, using astrology to help me. And the magic finally started happening.
In the process, I became a passionate advocate of astrology as a tool for making dreams come true, for turning wishes into reality. Because the tool has worked for me, something in my heart sings out and wants to share it with everyone.
I want other people to have their dreams come true. I want to use astrology to help them do so. I started the website "Practical Astrology" as a way to use monthly horoscopes to get people started on the process of using astrology as a real-life aid to a better life.
There's so much to learn about astrology. It offers insights into everything from finding love in life again to losing weight to getting out of credit card debt to dealing with career changes to sex and sensuality--the whole broad range of human concerns, in fact, both small and large.
In this blog, I hope to touch on what I can, a topic here and there as events prompt my musings. I won't be doing horoscopes in this space or personal readings. You can check out my site for that, or one of the hundreds of other sites that offer those things. This space is more about a dialogue, which means that sometimes I'll be asking questions.
My first question is simply this: Do you believe that dreams can and do come true in life? Do you believe that astrology can be helpful or that it's just a superstition? Some people believe that astrology has to do with "luck," or "fate" or divination, while others think of a horoscope as more like a fortune cookie, cute but not very relevant.
What do you think? Have you ever investigated any of the "New Age" methodologies for spiritual growth (a category into which I think astrology can fit at times), and do you find them helpful? I'll be interested to hear about your experiences.
Ill be as honest as I can.
I would really like that astrology could make my dreams come true.
But the sad thing is, that in this article...the basic idea is "you need an astrologer if you want to improve...buy my service". You make me suspicious of astrologers in general.
Bye

Yes Astrology has done me good.
In Sept.1965 I was really broke and my bizness was down with no future. There came my astrolger and told me that my stars were all mismatched and had to be put in correct position and for that he said he will make for me a ring with 9 stones representing 9 planets which I wore and my luck changed and within a month my bizness suddenly improved and I started making money.THis happened 40 yrs back I am still wearing that ring every day and by the grace of ALLAH my life is pretty good. My Astrolger died 7 yrs ago.He was doing astrolgy based on Hindu system.
Victoria:
Dreams, Astrology, Tarot, etc. are all tools that indicate probable outcomes, predicated on ones life path and the physical and metaphysical factors that bear upon it. The actual outcomes are determined by the choices that we make, with or without the input from those tools.
