Reality Coaching, Singles Help, Easy Health & Weight Loss, and Your Genius

Posted in

I have been working on a couple of interesting projects lately, two of which I want to share with you. I have also been working with a coach to help me get a handle on my health, and I have been reading a great book about genius. These are the items in my grab bag of tools for you today.

To start off, if you have ever wanted to get help with your love life, dating and relationships, I am sure you have heard about coaching. Even Dr. Phil now calls himself a coach. Well, à la Dr. Phil and the reality show genre, I am coaching a client of mine publicly on her blog and my own. Following the coaching can be quite exciting for you, as you get to see a real-life person work through her issues. It’s also exciting for her, as she is already having breakthroughs. Watch as Jodi, my client, gets coached to learn to attract the love of her life.

Second, I personally find that a daily reminder to think positively, to keep working towards my desires and goals, is priceless. I need and want help and support on a daily basis. I am guessing that daily support will help you as well, so go check out what I have recently created – a daily positive messages service for singles trying to attract the love of their life. It’s called Daily Dose of Love for Singles. Give it a test drive to see what you think.

My third suggestion is a powerful class from my coach, Jeanna Gabellini. I have had some health issue to deal with in the last couple of years and had gained some weight. I hate dieting, and found it almost impossible to stick to an exercise program. It was only after I worked with Jeanna in her “Get Your Body Humming” program that my body started to change in the ways I have been wanting. I have dropped weight with no dieting. I feel and look better. The most amazing thing now is that I exercise almost every day, I have been doing it for months, and it’s not a struggle – it comes naturally. Go take a look at her body- and mind-altering program.

Finally, I have been reading and working through "Is Your Genius at Work?" by Dick Richards. Yes, this is the same book Yvonne Divita was talking about in her last post. This is a combination of book and workbook, and I have been going through the workbook part. I still don’t know what my genius is, but here is an interesting thing: while trying to figure out my genius, I have discovered how I relate to people. It seems I am a sort of energy disrupter, like a whirlwind that comes into a room – if I enter a conversation it changes; if I pay attention to person, their focus or attention or energy changes. This realization has helped me be more effective in my parenting – to be careful not to interrupt my son when he is concentrating; more gentle with my husband and not take over all the space; to be more intentional in my interactions with people, to change energy when needed and pull back when needed. What a gift to see something so subtle, yet powerful! Even if you are happy with your work, this book is well worth a read so that you can find out about your unique attributes and contribution to the world. Go to Dick’s blog, and follow the link to the book from there.

Rinatta -- Wow! It sounds to me like your genius may have something to do with Shifting Energy. I am struck not only by the fact that you shift energy for others, but that you also have done it yourself in response to your son and husband--shifted your own energy. That is a very strong clue to a genius: you do it yourself and then also for others. Try that name on - Shifting Energy. See if it holds up as you continue doing exercises. Of course, only you know; this is merely my hypothesis.

Interestingly, I will soon have an article published about how consultants and coaches shift energy to get results. I think it is one of the central processes that we use (a metaskill)and a major discriminator between really good coaches/consultants and those that are just OK. I'll clue you when the article is on-line.
