David Hockney is featured on
David Hockney is featured on PBS American Masters this week. It is on Wednesday in my area. Not real sure that we should be claiming him but it looks like it should be good viewing. The review says it covers his opera sets.
New Discussion
Before the pinching gets too hard - we have a new home. This discussion will be made read only tomorrow so get all your pinching in now.
Good
I've just put the new site on favourites. I haven't started any homework yet - I've got 6 lessons to catch up on!
As fast as your new computer
As fast as your new computer is it won't take you any time at all - and just wait till you get two moniters running.
I have even thought about networking the pc and the mac. Even though they sit back to back I get tired of running back and forth to check things - of course what exercise would I get then?
It's not the computer power or memory now!
It's the aging brain power and memory that is the problem..I'm working on stimuli for that though!
My car has been off the road for nearly 2 weeks now - I think all the walking and shopping carrying is helping to oxygenate my brain - I'm nearly ready to get started on the lessons.
You should get those two opponent computers networked Lois - then you could take proper walks with the camera.
Thank you thank you....
Lois you're a doll....what fun to be able to navigate again, by using the outlines.
Week Three 8J2.....
You did well on that one Russ
I remember doing those. It was a good lesson, especially the glass effect.
Thank You! thank you! thank you!
(Gives a deep bow from the waist) Oops! the back!!!
Seriously ladies....I appreciate you support.
psst! wanna know sumpin....shhh! now.
I can't hardly wait till I can post the links here....hehehe do that even before I do it on the lesson site.
Very, very nice Russ! I just redid that leaf lesson in my 8 Effe
It was so much easier the second time around!
You are doing fantastic in these lessons! Its nice to follow along with you!
Beware of bending over for
Beware of bending over for any reason around here - remember - Sugar lurks - vbg.
hehe. I am soooooooo tempted.
oops she was peeking Marcie!!
oops the pinching girl.......
An interesting lesson. I
An interesting lesson. I especially like the effect in the first one.
Great job, Russ - I really
Great job, Russ - I really like that glass effect. :-)
Proud of you Russ. You dun good.
That Red leaf was one effect I reallllly liked when I did it. I didn't do the leaf, I did something of mine..but I loved that effect.
Thanks ladies......
Your comments always appreciated.....
Up-tight Up-date.......
LOL...it's just that these long long lessons with soooo many layers, are really hard on me. "Build em up, merge, make visable, add vector layer"... Geez go easy on an old man will ya!
Anyhoo!
here's the page.
I'm way behind again.
Your memory page work is good again Russ. Lovely couple and very apt presentation. It looks like quite a lot of work. What I can't work out is - Do you make a fancy page like this for each photo, or are these pages sort of the album cover for a set of photos.
Pardon my ignorance - I presume they are for albums..
I duno!! LOL
Honestly Margaret I am not sure of any practical application of the pages.
I guess that for the most part 'scrappers' would use these to show off a particularly nice photo. Didn't think of the idea of using them for a album cover.
I am doing them just as an interesting way to learn more PSP.....that is to say the digital portion of the lesson. The scrapbook part just was a whim.....
ppsst! just between us girls I won't do it again. LOL
Russ, Jo-Anns has nice
Russ, Jo-Anns has nice inexpensive sissors with all kinds of fancy edges just for scrapbooking. Don't you be using Barbara's good pinking shears on this project - g. But I don't know that I think ballons should have pinked edges.
Thanks Lois.....but I wouldn't *buy* sizzors.
Not just now anyway..not sure about going any further with paper scrapping.
Hey, Russ.
I LOVED the paper effect and I didn't think I would much care for the paper creation. !!
Good going on both! Very nice work
Gee, Angel,
Do you have any free time? That's a lot of computer work. I sure think anyone who takes that many classes has to have a lot of stamina. I can't sit still that long which is why I miss a big classroom to roam, mat and frame, paint and run around. Now I run after the cats and do other stuff to keep moving. I must have adult ADD or something. I do miss all of the physical activity of the art room, but not much else at the end.
I wish I could sit and do 78 page lessons. I'm too decrepit to sit that long without stiffening up. You are really doing well with all of your classwork and making lessons up, too!
Thank you Val. I appreciate
Thank you Val. I appreciate that. I just keep plugging away until I'm caught up!
I have four classes, three
I have four classes, three with Sally and because of my PC meltdown of unknown origin; I have finished five and have seven left!
I am struggling with a demo filter and have not even gotten into Build your own web site which is Marcie's new HTML mixture class.
WOW...78 pages for one lesson?
No wonder the lessons are are a week long. At least your attention span is long enough to accomplish and complete the projects.
When I was teaching, a one page lesson was considered too long. I honestly don't think I have the attention span to work through 78 pages of a lesson.
Saly's lessons.......
You guys remember the discussion a month ago about Sally's dispensation for making her lessons long?
Just finished printing tonites lessons out.....the poor ol printer is smoking.
78 pages. Remember I have two with her this session. Isn't that something?
Can't say we don't get our money's worth eh?
Hey Sugar!!!! Sugar.......
I got on our study leader, that is to say my new friend Rob from the UK, and I did. She found how to open the other groups for viewing....
Like what you did with the butterfly!!
Six classes down and two more to go!
As well as four more coming out tomorrow evening! I guess I don't have to worry about free time for awhile! lol
