Refresh Skin With Water -- Inside and Out

Some of the more effective treatments for achieving healthy, attractive skin involve water, pure and simple. Beauty advisers Anna Selby and Alice Kavounas have written books on the subject, and they offer some tips.
"Drinking enough water each day will help keep fine lines and wrinkles at bay," says Kavounas, author of "Water: Pure Therapy." What happens is that "the reserves of water in the dermis will plump them out, making them less visible."
Selby, author of "H2O: Healing Water for Mind and Body" (Collins & Brown, 2000), suggests that "a splash of cold water all over the face at the end of cleansing is better than an expensive toner." Drinking plenty of water, plus exfoliating skin, can do wonders in getting rid of that old nemesis, cellulite -- those little pockets of trapped water, fats, and toxins.
For stimulating circulation and helping the body rid itself of toxins and waste, Kavounas advises soaking your feet for 20 minutes in a bucketful of hot water laced with three tablespoons of mustard powder. "Mustard is potent stuff," she says, and "your skin will redden as it starts to act", improving your lymphatic system and circulation.
