Careful Assessment

A boss accepts an employee's invitation to dinner.

While everyone starts to eat, the host's little daughter just stares at the boss. Finally she says, "My dad told me you are a self-made man."

"Why, yes," the boss says with some pride. "I guess I am a self-made man."

"Then," asks the little girl, "why did you make yourself so ugly?"
