Set the Romantic Scene, Film-Wise

Wondering what film to rent to set the perfect romantic mood? Relax, the folks at Film Nation Date Movies say they've done the work for you.

The list is by no means exhaustive, but it does have some old and modern-day classics. "Now, Voyager" sparked the flames of 1940s women everywhere when Paul Henreid lit two cigarettes simultaneously and handed one to Bette Davis.

Synopses are offered of each flick, along with names of the stars. There's even a handy-dandy sub-category listing of the films, depending on the mood you want to create. Feeling frisky? Try "Last Tango in Paris" with Marlon Brando or Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger's steamy tale of two strangers, "9 1/2 Weeks."

Cuddlers can choose from Meg Ryan-vehicles such as "Sleepless in Seattle" and "When Harry Met Sally." If you're game for swashbucklers, try "Braveheart," "The Princess Bride," "Last of the Mohicans" -- or even "Swashbuckler," a romantic romp with Beau Bridges, Peter Boyle and Robert Shaw.
