Sending Web Dollars to Charity

It's a fact of business on the Web that most online retailers pay a percentage on sales to other Web sites that send customers their way. The concept also works for charity.

If you want some of your shopping dollars to go to good causes, consider starting at 4Charity.com, an organization that was set up as part of a Stanford student's MBA program as a way for the Internet world to help nonprofit organizations.

Simply start your online shopping trip at 4Charity.com, which functions as sort of an Internet mall. Then click on any of the retailers listed at the left of the page, and when you buy something from them, a percentage of the sale will go to 4Charity and then on to a good cause of your choice.

Transactions are hired by the individual retailers, but they have agreements with 4Charity to give between 3 and 25 percent of each sale to 4Charity for the referrals. They have this agreement with many locations on the Web, but this one promises that all money raised goes to the non-profit organizations.
