Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates announced today that his Redmond, Washington-based software company has acquired General Motors in a bid to build a high-tech car that will cost $1,000 and get 1,000 miles per gallon. Auto industry analysts quickly predicted that the vehicle of the future will crash whenever traffic is heavy.
