Look Hard at Real Estate Gurus

Real estate investment gurus dominating paid-TV time and retail cable channels often promise the moon -- with little effort on your part. John T. Reed's views of various real estate investment gurus takes on his competition -- Reed himself gives real estate advice at seminars for a fee.

Reed spares few feelings of the get-rich-quick crowd. The author of "BS Detection List," an article about real estate scams, says there are about 10 super marketers on the road he recommends. At the site he discusses their strengths -- and weaknesses.

Others he takes to task unsparingly, warning you may "have a negative cash flow" following a certain gurus advice. Reed also is furious about the real estate seminar superstars who charge a speaking fee that once would have covered the cost of a year of Harvard.
