Giving Thanks, Feeling Better

Did you give thanks over Thanksgiving? Did it make you feel better? It should, and it does, according to a new study.

A University of California psychologist who polled and checked some 200 volunteers found those who said they had a lot to be thankful for were emotionally and physically healthier than those who had a lot of complaints about life. The study showed the most thankful had more energy, exercised more and got sick less than those who saw life as one big hassle.

It may not be scientific, but some volunteers said the study itself, forcing them to sit down and figure out if they were thankful or not, helped change their outlook in life. They said they intended to continue to thank their lucky stars on a regular basis.
