Do Hot Tubs Enhance Relationships?

Looking for moments of peace and togetherness with that special someone? Maybe a hot tub can double as a "marriage counselor with bubbles."

The National Spa and Pool Institute (NSPI) says three independent studies of consumer psychology indicate owners of the at-home spas feel hot tubs enhance their relationships.

"In today's society, couples are looking for a moment of peace and togetherness. The hot tub provides a bridge you can float across to get back to the more important things in life, as daily stress quickly melts away," says licensed couples therapist Sharyn Wolf, author of "How to Stay Lovers for Life."

The NPSI and Wolf are taking the "Luvin' the Tub" message on the road this summer across the nation to host charity events in nine major cities -- and give away hot tubs. For complete tour information, visit the Web site.
