Dealing with Divorce on the Net

In the middle of a divorce? The Internet, once again, proves a viable source of information.

Divorce Central is a site devoted to providing legal information -- and companionship -- for folks contemplating or going through the Big D. It bills itself as a "one-stop service and support center" offering state-by-state legal information, a support chat room, resources for divorcing parents and even a "Steam Room" to blast that certain ex, a lawyer, or anyone making the procedure more difficult.

An online Legal Center provides information about mediation, arbitration, custody, visitation and prenuptial agreements along with a guide to strategic thinking and links to other helpful sites. Divorce Central also answers question a divorcing parent may have about children who want to change parental custody, what to do if the child support doesn't show up and how to receive school notices.

There's a newsletter updating regular visitors to special features along with a travel guide providing tips for single travelers. And for the eternally optimistic, Divorce Central posts personal ads and provides a chat room for visitors to mix and mingle.
